B4064 Cross Hands Road & Marsh Common Road – Essential Maintenance (Sept–Nov 2026)

South Gloucestershire Council has confirmed that major reconstruction works will take place on Cross Hands Road and Marsh Common Road from 1 September to 20 November 2026. The works require 24‑hour closures on each active section, with no vehicle access to properties within the closure zone. Pedestrian access will remain available.

“It will unfortunately be necessary to close the road 24 hours a day, with no vehicle access to properties immediately adjacent to the section being worked on.”

Residents in affected areas are advised to park vehicles outside the work zone before each phase begins.

Work Phases

• Phase 1: 1–4 September
• Phase 2: 7–9 September
• Phase 3: 10–15 September
• Phase 4: 16 September
• Phase 5: 17 September–20 November (Marsh Common Road)

Works will run Monday–Friday during normal hours, though the schedule may change due to weather or operational issues.
