Promenade Gardens Berm – Repair Works Expected Week Commencing 21 September
Essential repair works to the berm at Promenade Gardens, Severn Beach are scheduled to take place during the week commencing 21st September. Reinstating it now will help preserve the stability, appearance and long‑term resilience of this well‑used public space.
The Parish Council has previously discussed the condition of the berm and the need for reinstatement, most recently noting in its minutes that:
– reinstatement is required to restore its original profile, and
– a compact tracked machine will be used to shape and compress the earth to the appropriate standard.
These works follow the Council’s earlier site visit and confirmation of the most suitable method for reinstatement. The contractor will operate on Beach Road and within the Gardens for a short period and residents may notice machinery on site while the berm is reshaped and compacted.
The Council appreciates residents’ patience while this important maintenance is carried out and will continue to monitor the area to ensure the berm settles correctly and performs as intended.
